Website Support
You don’t need a new website to work with me. If your existing site is causing problems, I’ll diagnose what’s wrong and fix it. DNS records, email deliverability, WordPress errors, plugin conflicts, MailerLite setup. Whatever it is, get in touch and I’ll take a look.
If it’s to do with your website, your domain or your email deliverability, it’s probably something I’ve seen before. Here’s the kind of thing I sort out regularly.
A plugin update breaks everything. A theme conflict kills the site. A PHP version change wipes out the front end. Whatever’s broken, I’ll find it and fix it without making things worse.
SPF, DKIM and DMARC misconfigured. MX records pointing nowhere. Domain authentication missing entirely. I diagnose the deliverability issue, fix the DNS records and test to confirm it’s working.
Domain pointing at the wrong server. MX records missing or conflicting. DNS propagation not completing. I’ll get into the zone file, work out what’s wrong and fix it properly.
Moving host, moving platform, or both. The kind of change that should be straightforward but rarely is. I handle the migration so your site stays up and your email keeps working throughout.
Updates that break things, plugins that fight each other, security patches that need applying carefully. Handled properly so things don’t quietly break after you click update.
MailerLite connected to your site, forms working, automations set up, domain authentication confirmed. Your email marketing running properly from day one.
Contact forms not sending. Pages returning 404s. SSL showing as expired. Speed issues. Layout problems on mobile. If something on your site is annoying you or costing you enquiries, get in touch.
Ad-hoc support from £45/hour. Fixed quote before anything starts. If you’re not sure whether it’s something I can help with, just ask.
No long-winded onboarding. Tell me what’s wrong and I’ll take it from there.
Drop me a message with what’s happening. Screenshots, error messages, any relevant context. The more you can share, the faster I can diagnose it.
I’ll review what you’ve sent and come back with a diagnosis and a fixed quote. You know what it’ll cost before I touch anything.
Once you’re happy to proceed, I get it sorted and confirm when it’s done. If anything unexpected comes up, I’ll tell you before acting on it.
No drawn-out back-and-forth. Most jobs are turned around quickly. You’ll hear from me when it’s done, not during.
“Exceptional! There are no other words for it. Moved my emails from siteground email into Google in no time. So happy it is done. I normally do DNS changes myself but this was too complicated but Rory knows his stuff and then some. Will be sending more work your way.”Lisa, Wolverhampton
No. I work on sites I’ve had no involvement with all the time. As long as I can get access to what I need, I can help regardless of who built the site or who hosts it.
It depends on the job. For WordPress issues I’ll usually need admin access to the site and possibly your hosting control panel. For DNS and email issues I’ll need access to wherever your domain is managed. I’ll tell you exactly what I need before we start.
Most jobs are turned around within one to two working days once we’ve agreed scope and you’ve provided access. If something is genuinely urgent, say so when you get in touch and I’ll let you know what I can do.
I’ll tell you before doing anything about it. You’ll get a revised quote and the choice of whether to proceed. I don’t run up hours without checking first.
Yes. Email deliverability issues (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX records) are DNS-level problems and apply to any platform. It doesn’t matter what your site is built on.
Yes. A monthly retainer gives you a set block of hours at £45/hour, priority over ad-hoc clients, and someone who already knows your setup. If you want monitoring and maintenance on top of that, the Aftercare Plan at £50/month covers uptime monitoring, SSL renewal, domain management, security checks and priority support. Both are available separately or together.
Tell me what’s going on and I’ll come back with a diagnosis and a fixed quote. No obligation.
