Most people don't come to me because everything is running smoothly. Usually it's because things have started feeling a bit too much.
The inbox that hasn't been at zero in months. The website thing that's been on the list since spring. Admin spilling into evenings because there's no other time for it.
That's normally the point someone reaches out.
I've spent over twenty years in technical support and operations, the last twelve at SaaS companies in the UK and Finland. The job was always the same underneath. Something had gone wrong, someone was stressed about it, and I had to work out what was actually broken and fix it properly. Not patch it, not pass it on, fix it. I'm good at that, and I like doing it.
I started Virtually Rory part time in 2024 and went full time at the start of 2026. Same work, smaller businesses, fewer meetings.
What clients actually want, underneath the inbox and the website and the admin, is to stop thinking about it. To close the laptop on a Friday without a list running in their head. That's the thing I'm really doing.
No overcomplicated processes, no corporate fluff, no pretending something needs three days when it can be sorted in an afternoon. Just practical support that actually sorts things out.
