Cookie policy
Last updated: October 2026
The short version: this site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. It only uses cookies that are needed for the site to work properly or to remember your cookie choice.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser.
Some cookies are needed for a website to work properly, for example to keep forms secure or remember where you are in a process.
Other cookies can be used for things such as analytics, advertising or tracking.
Under UK privacy rules, cookies and similar technologies that are not strictly necessary generally need your consent before they are used.
The same rules can also apply to similar technologies such as local storage, so this policy covers those too.
Cookies this site sets
Session cookie: vr_session
This cookie is used to keep the contact and booking forms secure and to remember your progress through the booking questions.
It is deleted when you close your browser and does not store personal details about you.
This cookie is strictly necessary for parts of the website to work, so it does not require your consent.
Cookie preference: vr_cookies
This cookie is used to remember the choice you make in the cookie banner so I do not keep asking you.
It is kept for 12 months and only stores your cookie preference.
Other storage on your device
This site does not currently use local storage or other browser storage for analytics, advertising or tracking.
If that changes, this policy will be updated.
Reviews
The reviews on this site are my Google reviews and are displayed using a widget provided by Trustindex.
When a page containing the review widget loads, your browser may connect to Trustindex's servers so the reviews can be displayed.
Trustindex may receive technical information such as your IP address when it delivers the widget. More information about how personal information is handled is available in my Privacy Policy.
I do not use the review widget for analytics or advertising.
Booking calls
When you book a discovery call, the booking is sent to my Google Calendar by this website's server.
Your browser does not connect directly to Google as part of the booking process and no Google cookies are set by the booking form itself.
Optional cookies
There are currently no analytics, advertising or marketing cookies in use on this website.
If I introduce optional cookies in future:
- they will not be set unless you consent to them;
- this policy will be updated to explain what they do; and
- you will be able to change your cookie choice at any time.
Managing cookies
You can view, delete or block cookies through your browser settings.
Most browsers explain how to do this in their help pages.
If you block the session cookie, parts of the website such as the contact and booking forms may not work properly.
If you delete or block the cookie preference cookie, the website may ask you for your cookie choice again.
Changes to this policy
If the cookies or similar technologies used by this website change, I will update this policy and the date shown at the top of the page.
